The Last Waltz: My Desert Island Album Pick

I’m often asked who my favorite band is. It’s an easy answer—The Band! I love this group because they bring together all the greatest things about 70’s music: rock, folk, Americana, gospel, roots and blues, even experimental (listen to Garth Hudson on keys). But they do it authentically, and in a way that’s both reverant yet uniquely original. If I had to pick a desert island album, it would be The Last Waltz because they brought together all my, I mean their, favorite artists to perform all the hits from the era. Who’s yours and why?
